Tipped Die Grinder Deburring Bits, SH Type (R/L Cut)
SH-type tipped burr bits with right or left cut – the flame profile for weld dressing with your choice of cut direction.
Design and Construction
SH-type flame heads with a choice of right-hand (R) or left-hand (L) cut, in tipped construction: a carbide flame tip on a steel shank. Cut direction lets right- and left-handed operators each pull the burr into the work naturally.
How It Works
The flame profile follows weld beads and curved seams; the chosen cut direction throws chips away from the operator line of sight.
Applications
Weld dressing, seam blending, ship and structural work, right- and left-handed teams.
Field Cases
- Structural shop: left-cut heads issued to left-handed fitters – control complaints stopped.
- Shipyard: SH flames followed butt-weld seams along frames without stepping.
- Maintenance: tipped construction kept replacement cost low on daily weld work.

Material Comparison: Right Cut vs Left Cut – Handling Difference
Why cut direction matters at the bench:
| Factor | R Cut | L Cut |
|---|---|---|
| Pull direction | Pulls right-hand sweep | Pulls left-hand sweep |
| Chip throw | Away for RH operator line | Away for LH operator line |
| Best grip | Standard RH die grinder grip | Mirrored grip |
| Fatigue on long seams | Lower for RH teams | Lower for LH teams |
| Stock | Both directions available | Usually one only |
Delivery Scope
Bit in tube; R and L cuts stocked per size.
Why Choose VPOINT
Cut direction is a control feature – we stock both.
Precision & Quality Control
Tip braze shear-checked; cut direction verified per head.
