Quick answer

VPOINT TOOL inspects carbide woodworking tools at three stages — raw material, grinding, and final inspection before packing — and warrants its tools against manufacturing defects. Tools that fail due to a material or manufacturing defect are replaced or credited after review; normal wear, chipping from impact and incorrect machine parameters are not covered.

What we check

Stage Check
Raw material Carbide grade and hardness verification, PCD blank grade for diamond tools
Grinding Cutting geometry, clearance angles, concentricity, seat flatness for inserts
Assembly Brazing integrity, screw torque on indexable knives, bearing fit
Final inspection Dimensions against drawing (critical seats typically ±0.02 mm), edge condition, marking, packing

Typical material specification

  • Carbide grade: tungsten carbide grades selected for woodworking, hardness typically HRA 89 and above
  • PCD tools: polycrystalline diamond tips for abrasive sheet goods (MDF, laminate, chipboard, fibre cement)
  • Tolerances: confirmed per drawing; critical insert seats and shank diameters held to tight tolerances

Warranty

  • Covers manufacturing defects in material and workmanship.
  • Does not cover normal wear, blunt edges from extended use, breakage from incorrect feed/speed, or damage from hitting metal, nails or stone in the workpiece.
  • Claim process: send photos or the returned tool plus machine parameters (RPM, feed rate, material, depth of cut). We review and respond with replacement, credit or a technical recommendation.

Documents

Material and inspection documents can be provided with shipments on request. Tell us what your incoming inspection needs when you request a quote.

FAQ

How long should a carbide insert last?

It depends on the material, feed rate and cut depth. Indexable inserts are rotated to a fresh edge rather than resharpened, which is why replaceable insert tooling reduces downtime compared with brazed bits.

Do you provide certificates?

Material and inspection documents can be supplied on request; state your requirement when ordering.
