Rainbow-coated tree-shape carbide burr that removes welds and smooths rough edges on steel, stainless steel and cast iron.
Design and Construction
A tree-shape carbide head with radius end, rainbow PVD coated, ground with crossed flutes for fast weld removal. The coating resists the heat and chip welding typical of long weld-dressing runs.
How It Works
At 6,000-50,000 RPM the tree nose is swept along the weld bead to knock down the crown and blend the toe into the parent material.
Applications
Weld removal and dressing on fabrications, cast-iron repair smoothing, stainless and structural steel edge work.
