Solid Carbide Drill Bit for Wood and Aluminum for Woodworking Production
These drill bits are made from solid tungsten carbide for specified wood and aluminum drilling applications, in a listed diameter range of 4.1–14.1 mm. Each diameter range in the chart represents a size group; the exact diameter is specified within the range when ordering.

Design and Construction
+The bits are ground from solid tungsten carbide — no brazed tip, no steel shank — giving maximum rigidity and heat resistance for deep, straight holes in wood panels and aluminum. The chart groups diameters from 4.1–4.5 up to 13.6–14.1 mm with cutting lengths from 25 to 60 mm and overall lengths from 50 to 90 mm. The series is produced in the Sichuan and Dongguan, China manufacturing bases.
How It Works
+In the CNC drill or machining centre, the solid-carbide body resists the deflection that steel-shank bits suffer at depth, and the carbide edge sheds the heat that aluminium and resin-rich MDF generate. Holes stay straight and on diameter through long drilling cycles.
Applications
- Drilling wood panels and aluminum on CNC drill lines and machining centres
- Through-hole and blind-hole drilling where straightness and diameter stability matter
Suitable Materials
- Wood panels (MDF, particleboard, plywood) and aluminum, subject to grade and application review
- Suitability depends on the specific material grade, hole depth and machining parameters; confirm the application before ordering

Delivery Scope
Specify the exact diameter required within the listed range; shank dimensions, point geometry and operating parameters are confirmed for the selected diameter.
+Each order also includes an inspection record. Send the exact hole diameter, depth, through- or blind-hole requirement, workpiece material and thickness, machine model, shank/collet size and rotation so the configuration is confirmed before production.
Why Choose VPOINT
+VPOINT supports this carbide tool series with:
- One-year warranty on every tool
- Custom diameters, shanks and rotations produced to order
- Regrinding service to extend tool life
- Factory direct since 2008, ISO 9001 certified
- Dual manufacturing bases in Sichuan and Dongguan, China
Precision & Quality Control
+Every solid carbide drill bit is inspected before shipment: cutting diameter, shank diameter and tool runout are checked against the specification table at micron level. Production follows an ISO 9001 process with batch traceability, so reorders match the original configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which diameters are covered?
+The chart lists diameter groups from 4.1–4.5 mm up to 13.6–14.1 mm, with cutting lengths from 25 to 60 mm and overall lengths from 50 to 90 mm; the exact diameter is specified within the group.
Can one bit drill both wood and aluminum?
+Solid carbide suits both listed materials; send the workpiece, hole diameter and depth so the geometry and operating parameters are confirmed for the actual application.
Why solid carbide instead of a brazed tip?
+A solid-carbide body is stiffer and more heat-resistant, which keeps deep holes straight and holds diameter in abrasive panels and aluminum.
What should I send for a quotation?
+The exact hole diameter, depth, through- or blind-hole requirement, workpiece material and thickness, machine model, shank/collet size and rotation direction.
