One of the key benefits of our tungsten carbide industrial blades is their durability. Tungsten carbide is an extremely hard and wear-resistant material that is perfect for use in cutting applications. This means that our blades can withstand heavy usage and provide long-lasting performance, helping to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
In addition to their durability, our tungsten carbide industrial blades are also highly precise. This makes them ideal for use in industries where precision and accuracy are essential, such as the paper, tobacco, and packaging industries. With our blades, you can be confident that your manufacturing process will be smooth and efficient.

Another advantage of our tungsten carbide industrial blades is their cost-effectiveness. Despite their high quality and precision, our blades are competitively priced, making them an affordable choice for many different manufacturing businesses. What’s more, their long lifespan means that you won’t need to replace them as frequently, further reducing your costs over time.
In summary, our tungsten carbide industrial blades and knives are a reliable and effective choice for a range of manufacturing applications. Whether you need corruated cardboard blades, tobacco knives, paper slitter knives, or packaging slitting blades, we have the solutions you need. With our focus on quality, precision, and affordability, you can trust us to provide the best possible products for your business.
Design and Construction
The carbide circular slitter knives for corrugated board are machine-matched slitting knives: the specifications table lists dimension (Φ280-Φ300 mm), ID (Φ112-Φ203 mm) and thickness (1.0-1.4 mm) against machine brands TCY, FOSBER and Mitsubishi.
How It Works
On corrugator finishing lines the slitter runs continuously against a bottom knife at line speed. The carbide edge holds the cut edge clean on abrasive board liners, and the machine-matched dimensions drop straight into the existing slitter stations.
Applications
- Corrugator finishing lines
- Corrugated board slitting
- Machine-matched slitter programmes
- Continuous board cutting
Suitable Materials
- Corrugated board and liner
- Paper and board stock
- Cardboard
- Fibrous board materials
The carbide edge holds the cut clean on abrasive board liners at line speed.
Material Comparison: Tungsten Carbide vs. High-Speed Steel (HSS)
These knives carry tungsten carbide. The figures below are typical industry data showing where carbide and high-speed steel each win, so you can match the material to the job.
| Property | Tungsten Carbide | High-Speed Steel (HSS) |
|---|---|---|
| Hardness | 89–91 HRA (~1,600–2,200 HV) | 62–66 HRC (~800–900 HV) |
| Edge retention in slitting | Holds a clean edge over long paper, film and board runs | More frequent knife changes on abrasive stock |
| Impact toughness | Lower — avoid nicks and side impact | Higher — more forgiving |
| Regrind | 4–6 regrinds typical | Regrindable more often, but at shorter intervals |
| Best suited for | High-speed, high-volume slitting | General-purpose and light-duty slitting |
Delivery Scope
Single knife. Order by the dimension, bore, thickness and machine brand stated in the specifications table below.
Why Choose VPOINT
- One-year warranty on every cutter — defects in material or workmanship are covered for 12 months from delivery.
- Custom tooling — diameters, shanks, cutting lengths and flute configurations built to your drawing or sample.
- Non-standard fabrication — sizes outside the standard catalogue, including special geometries.
- Resharpening service — cutters return to service after regrinding at a fraction of new-tool cost.
- Factory-direct since 2008 — ISO 9001 manufacturing in Sichuan and Dongguan, China; no trading intermediaries.
Send a drawing, a sample or a worn tool, and our engineering team will quote the exact specification you need.
Precision & Quality Control
Every cutter is inspected before shipment. Shank diameter, cutting-edge diameter, cutting length and overall length are measured against the values listed in the specifications table, and cutting edge runout is verified on the assembled tool.
Tools measuring outside tolerance do not ship. Inspection is performed under our ISO 9001 quality system, with batch records retained for traceability.
