Aluminum Blade/Diamond Saw Blade

Saw blades for aluminum and non-ferrous metals, D 205-600 mm, 80-144T. Diamond-tipped fine-tooth designs that resist built-up edge.

The VPOINT Aluminum Blade/Diamond Saw Blade is a carbide-tipped circular saw blade. Ideal for aluminum profile and panel cutting, non-ferrous metal fabrication and cutting aluminum composite panels.

The VP00315/VP00316 sawblade series for aluminum and non-ferrous materials carries diamond-tipped teeth on a laser-cut steel plate, spanning 255 to 600 mm diameters. Tooth count, kerf and bore follow the specifications table for the saw and the profile.

Design and Construction

The VP00315/VP00316 sawblade series for aluminum and non-ferrous materials carries diamond-tipped teeth on a laser-cut steel plate. The VP00315 series spans 255 to 600 mm with 100T to 144T fine tooth counts; the VP00316 series spans 205 to 455 mm with 80T to 120T. Kerf/plate pairs are matched to each diameter, with 25.4 and 30 mm bores.

How It Works

Fine-tooth diamond-tipped designs shear aluminum with a negative-style chip clearance that prevents the soft alloy from welding to the tooth. PCD’s low friction coefficient (≈0.05) and high thermal conductivity keep the cutting zone cool, avoiding built-up edge on aluminum alloys.

Applications

  • Aluminum profile and panel cutting
  • Non-ferrous metal fabrication
  • Cutting aluminum composite panels
  • Window and door frame production

Suitable Materials

  • Aluminum alloys and profiles
  • Aluminum composite panels (ACP)
  • Copper and brass
  • Plastics and composite panels

The diamond-tipped teeth resist built-up edge in soft alloys and hold cut quality across long extrusion and panel runs.

Material Comparison: PCD vs. Tungsten Carbide

The figures below are typical industry data for production woodworking. PCD does not replace carbide in every job — carbide remains the right choice for low-volume general work — but on abrasive sheet goods the difference in blade life is decisive.

Property PCD Diamond (This Blade) Tungsten Carbide
Hardness 7,000–9,000 HV 1,500–2,000 HV
Tool life on MDF / particleboard / melamine 15–20× longer (500–1,200 h) 30–60 h (baseline)
Tool life on solid hardwood 10–13× longer (800–2,000 h) 80–150 h (baseline)
Tool life on abrasive boards (fibre cement / composites) 10–15× longer baseline
Edge renewal Limited regrinds — the economics come from 15–20× longer intervals between changes, not regrind count 4–6 regrinds at shorter intervals
Cut finish Ra ≤ 0.2 μm achievable, stable over the blade life Ra ~0.8 μm typical, degrades as teeth wear
Thermal conductivity 540–560 W/m·K — heat leaves the tooth tip fast ~80 W/m·K
Friction coefficient ≈ 0.05 — lower cutting forces and heat ≈ 0.3
Suited for Abrasive engineered wood, laminates, composites, fibre cement, non-ferrous metals General-purpose solid-wood work; the economic choice at lower volumes

Figures are typical published values; actual blade life depends on the workpiece material, feed rate, depth of cut, machine condition and maintenance schedule.

Delivery Scope

Single blade. Order by part number with the diameter, kerf, bore and tooth count stated in the specifications table below.

Why Choose VPOINT

  • One-year warranty on every blade — defects in material or workmanship are covered for 12 months from delivery.
  • Custom tooling — diameters, kerfs, bores and tooth counts built to your drawing or sample.
  • Non-standard fabrication — sizes outside the standard catalogue, including bore re-sizing and tooth-count changes.
  • Resharpening service — blades return to service after regrinding at a fraction of new-blade cost.
  • Factory-direct since 2008 — ISO 9001 manufacturing in Sichuan and Dongguan, China; 40Cr chrome-molybdenum steel bodies; no trading intermediaries.

Send a drawing, a sample or a worn blade, and our engineering team will quote the exact specification you need.

Precision & Quality Control

Every blade is inspected before shipment. Outside diameter, kerf thickness, plate thickness, bore diameter and tooth count are measured against the values listed in the specifications table, and tooth geometry (hook angle, bevel angle) is verified against the design drawing. Blades are stress-checked for runout and tension before packing.

Blades measuring outside tolerance do not ship. Inspection is performed under our ISO 9001 quality system, with batch records retained for traceability.
