Design and Construction
The carbide cutter simple rougher woodturning tool carries replaceable carbide rougher inserts for wood lathes. The specifications tables list the rougher insert formats (28 x 2.48 mm at 30° and 35°, including the VEMN160200/160208 standard), the negative-rake insert formats (Φ8.9-18 mm at 30°) and the holder insert formats (10.5 x 10.5 x 1.5 mm through 15 x 15 x 2.5 mm, with R50/R100/R150 profile versions).
How It Works
The rougher insert takes the heavy cut as the blank spins on the lathe: its geometry removes stock fast in interrupted cuts on green or dry wood. When the edge dulls, the insert is turned or replaced in minutes — the holder and its balance stay on the lathe.
