Diamond Proformance Router
The company uses high-end production and testing equipment from Germany, selects international high-quality raw materials, and provides customers with professional supporting production tools and related accessories. The products include saw blades, forming knives, handle milling cutters, drill bits, and various diamond tools.
The VPOINT Diamond Proformance Router is an insert-knife router bit for CNC routers. Built for CNC routers in daily production. Consistent geometry and sharp carbide keep cuts clean across the full size range.
The VP0013 performance router pairs a solid PCD cutting edge with a 40Cr chrome-molybdenum steel body in a 1+1 geometry: one cutting edge with one opposing shear. Part numbers cover cutting diameters from 8 to 25 mm on 6 to 20 mm shanks, cutting lengths from 22 to 65 mm and overall lengths from 68 to 115 mm, as listed in the specifications table.

Design and Construction
The VP0013 performance router carries a solid polycrystalline diamond cutting edge on a 40Cr chrome-molybdenum steel body in a 1+1 layout — one cutting edge with one opposing shear. Bodies are ground and balanced as one assembly, and each part number fixes diameter, shank, cutting length and overall length for the machine it runs on.
How It Works
The single cutting edge with an opposing shear balances radial cutting forces in single-pass trimming, so the tool runs without deflection at the lengths listed. The PCD edge is brazed to the steel body and holds its geometry in abrasive faced board, keeping diameter and cutting length stable across the tool’s service life.
Applications
- Edge trimming on CNC routers
- Single-pass trimming of laminated panels
- Profile and radius work on machining centres
- Finishing cuts on veneered and melamine-faced board
Suitable Materials
- Melamine-faced particleboard
- MDF and laminated boards
- Veneered plywood
- Solid wood
The PCD edge holds diameter and cutting length through long runs in abrasive faced panels.
Material Comparison: PCD vs. Tungsten Carbide
The figures below are typical industry data for production woodworking. PCD does not replace carbide in every job — carbide remains the right choice for low-volume general work — but on abrasive sheet goods the difference in blade life is decisive.
| Property | PCD Diamond (This Blade) | Tungsten Carbide |
|---|---|---|
| Hardness | 7,000–9,000 HV | 1,500–2,000 HV |
| Tool life on MDF / particleboard / melamine | 15–20× longer (500–1,200 h) | 30–60 h (baseline) |
| Tool life on solid hardwood | 10–13× longer (800–2,000 h) | 80–150 h (baseline) |
| Tool life on abrasive boards (fibre cement / composites) | 10–15× longer | baseline |
| Edge renewal | Limited regrinds — the economics come from 15–20× longer intervals between changes, not regrind count | 4–6 regrinds at shorter intervals |
| Cut finish | Ra ≤ 0.2 μm achievable, stable over the blade life | Ra ~0.8 μm typical, degrades as teeth wear |
| Thermal conductivity | 540–560 W/m·K — heat leaves the tooth tip fast | ~80 W/m·K |
| Friction coefficient | ≈ 0.05 — lower cutting forces and heat | ≈ 0.3 |
| Suited for | Abrasive engineered wood, laminates, composites, fibre cement, non-ferrous metals | General-purpose solid-wood work; the economic choice at lower volumes |
Figures are typical published values; actual blade life depends on the workpiece material, feed rate, depth of cut, machine condition and maintenance schedule.
Delivery Scope
Single blade. Order by part number with the diameter, bore, width and tooth count stated in the specifications table below.
Why Choose VPOINT
- One-year warranty on every blade — defects in material or workmanship are covered for 12 months from delivery.
- Custom tooling — diameters, kerfs, bores and tooth counts built to your drawing or sample.
- Non-standard fabrication — sizes outside the standard catalogue, including bore re-sizing and tooth-count changes.
- Resharpening service — blades return to service after regrinding at a fraction of new-blade cost.
- Factory-direct since 2008 — ISO 9001 manufacturing in Sichuan and Dongguan, China; 40Cr chrome-molybdenum steel bodies; no trading intermediaries.
Send a drawing, a sample or a worn blade, and our engineering team will quote the exact specification you need.
Precision & Quality Control
Every blade is inspected before shipment. Outside diameter, kerf thickness, plate thickness, bore diameter and tooth count are measured against the values listed in the specifications table, and tooth geometry (hook angle, bevel angle) is verified against the design drawing. Blades are stress-checked for runout and tension before packing.
Blades measuring outside tolerance do not ship. Inspection is performed under our ISO 9001 quality system, with batch records retained for traceability.
