Design and Construction
The 15 x 15 x 2.5 mm indexable knife (30° bevel) is a replaceable tungsten carbide cutting insert for woodworking cutterheads. Each knife carries R150 profile radius on the cutting face. The R150 profile face is ground to profile tolerance for finish-visible surfaces.The size chart below lists the full range of insert sizes in the programme (lengths 7.5 to 60 mm, widths 10.5 to 12 mm, thicknesses 1.5 to 2.5 mm, bevels 30°/35°/50°).
How It Works
The insert seats in the cutterhead pocket and presents a precision-ground carbide edge to the workpiece. When the edge dulls, the knife is turned to its second edge or swapped for a new one in minutes — the cutterhead, its mounting and its balance stay in the machine, and the next cut lands at the same position and dimension.
